Land Use Council
The LUC was established in 1989 to represent the development community and the building industry by promoting safe, responsible, and affordable development. We advocate for public and private partnerships to achieve shared community goals by actively participating with elected officials to promote responsible and fair local government. Fundamentally, we provide programs and expertise that enhance the ability of our members to conduct their individual businesses with integrity and competence.
Active Engagement:

- Board quarterly meetings with Frederick County Executive and the City of Frederick Mayor
- Luncheons with informative guest speakers hosted twice a year
- Happy hours hosted twice a year to engage with elected officials, government staff, and others
- Advocacy with Maryland Building Industry Association at the Maryland General Assembly on matters important to the building industry

Monthly brief from the Council’s Board of Directors on Frederick County and all its municipalities as it relates to engineering, water/sewer, APFO, etc.
Events:
Quarterly Council member-only events that are either luncheons or happy hours.
