The Event-Based Committee plays a central role in advancing FCBIA’s mission by delivering experiences that add value to members while serving as key non-dues financial contributors. These events are more than just fundraisers, they provide opportunities for networking, recognition, and community building, making them an essential part of the association’s culture.
Because each event has unique needs, meeting frequency varies depending on lead time, with subcommittees formed to focus on logistics, sponsorships, marketing, and member engagement.
Annual Anchor Events include:
- Awards of Excellence (May)
A prestigious gala where peers recognize outstanding industry professionals who set the gold standard in building, design, and service. This event highlights excellence, fosters pride, and elevates the reputation of our industry leaders. - Crab Feast (July)
A summer tradition and one of our most popular member appreciation events. This casual, outdoor gathering allows companies to invite staff members—especially those who may not attend other FCBIA events—for a fun evening of camaraderie, Maryland crabs, and relaxation. - Golf Classic (August)
A long-standing networking tradition, the Golf Classic offers members and guests a full day of golf, rain or shine. With sponsorship opportunities and plenty of time on the course, this event is a prime setting for building relationships in a relaxed, yet professional environment.
By serving on the Event-Based Committee, members have the chance to shape signature FCBIA experiences, drive revenue to support the association’s mission, and create meaningful opportunities for connection across the building industry.
