Dear MBIA Members,

I wanted to take the opportunity to update everyone on some of our efforts on behalf of the industry. We have sent two letters to the Governor and other elected officials across the state. Our goal is to have construction (and home building) listed as essential services during this critical time. Both California (https://covid19.ca.gov/stay-home-except-for-essential-needs/) and Nevada have done just that.

We have also been working with all of our local jurisdictions to ensure they are operating as effectively as possible.  Please see our link for up to date information on that (https://www.marylandbuilders.org/conronabycounty.html).  If you should have any issues in any jurisdiction, please let us know ASAP.

Lastly, we also have some resources on our website for small businesses if you are interested ( https://www.marylandbuilders.org/coronavirus.html).  We will continue to keep everyone updated on the impacts to our industry as we can.

This is a time that we need to get through together.  We hope to be a resource to you.  Please feel free to reach out to me (or any of our team members) at any time.  We continue to work for the industry.

Lori
